Responsibilities

Conduct small-group tutoring sessions in English and Mathematics, providing targeted support and guidance. The majority of work will be completed through an online learning platform, so the role primarily involves supervising students, offering assistance as needed, and ensuring they remain focused and engaged. Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to develop personalised learning plans. Provide guidance and support in homework assignments and exam preparation. Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and motivation in learners. Stay updated with educational best practices and curriculum changes.

Experience

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is essential. Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable. Familiarity with special education needs is advantageous, enabling you to cater to diverse learning requirements. Strong communication skills are crucial for effectively conveying information and building rapport with students and their families. A patient, adaptable approach to teaching is necessary to meet the varying needs of students.
