Job Summary:


The Prime Contract Manager manages all aspects of JV contract on Euston Station project with the HS2 Client.

Key Responsibilities:

Review the terms of the Prime Contract, Works Information the CP offer and all commitments and contract promises Undertake regular project reviews and audits to verify that the project team are complying with the contract Advise on any conflict between the contract obligations and current legislation Review subcontract terms and conditions for packages of works downstream and ensure obligations are back-to-back with main agreement Review all client changes for implication on main contract commitments and obligations, assist in drafting of early warning notices and assessing and negotiating compensation events Support negotiation of Consolidation Point with the client Audit that client approvals and consents are received in accordance with contract terms and are fully recorded Review and manage all contractual correspondence and notifications to the client Audit that all insurance, guarantees and warrantees required under the contract are obtained and maintained throughout the currency of the project Support the Project Director and Commercial Director in the resolution of any disputes with the Client Provide regular reports to the JV Board on prime contract matters Provide guidance to the project team on contract requirements and contractual issues Responsible for overseeing the JV change control process on the project Responsible for overseeing implementation of the JV Cost Assurance Plan to ensure costs incurred/claimed are in accordance with the terms and conditions of the main contract and to minimise risk of Disallowed Cost.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

Expert knowledge of Contract Law particularly NEC Contracts Expert knowledge of dispute management and resolution Knowledge of change control processes.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

Experience of contract management/administration or construction law Degree in Quantity Surveying or Law or similar

Behavioural competencies



Logical mind with excellent grasp of detail Strong analytical skills with the ability to consider multiple perspectives and develop effective negotiation strategies Confidence in providing well?reasoned advice, even when it may be challenging or unpopular
