Role profile:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Solution Architect at LSEG in our Engineering function, supporting Financial Crime compliance as part of our global transformation programme.
The role sits within Financial Crime Engineering to architect and design for E2E and workstream-level technology and engineering outcomes within complex, large-scale and/or high-risk workstreams that involve multiple senior partners.
As you will be joining at the programme in-flight, the initial focus will be on alignment to stakeholders and understanding all the engineering and architecture options available to address different compliance pillars, aligned to business functional, operational, non-functional and control requirements. This will include working with the business change managers, business architecture, operations and other technology teams. You will also collaborate and support non-programme business and engineering colleagues for impact assessment to wider LSEG ecosystem.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Review and assess business functional and control requirements, and help define and steer operational and non-functional requirements
Design technical architecture solutions (products and services) for Financial Crime solutions to align with the organisational technical strategy and standards.
Provide a consistent set of solution views, that communicate and describe the construction of the solution to all stakeholders.
Align solutions and options against business requirements, including benefits and risks
Support vendor selection and assessment against potential internal and external solutions (On-Prem/PaaS/SaaS)
Continued Impact assessment against current and emerging engineering landscape for Financial Crime, and wider LSEG technology landscape
Support delivery teams, blending technical (development and architecture) and behaviour (stakeholder and communication) skills.
Review detailed design, support code reviews and other artefacts from development, testing and release management teams, to provide recommendations and best practices
Ensure technical quality and adherence of our designs to the organisation's Digital Blueprint, Enterprise Architecture, and Product Roadmaps.
Use architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools, and standards for design delivery
Communicate and present to governance forums for review, ratification and signoffs against new design patterns
Collaborate with business, operations and technology stakeholders and end-users to build a comprehensive view of the problem statements, and mitigating options towards resolution
YOU'LL BRING:Experience in identifying and building patterns and flows for financial crime pillars (Sanctions, ABC, Fraud, Transaction monitoring etc.)
Experience in Architecture, design and delivery for Cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-prem platforms including integrations to key services
Great communication and stakeholder management skills (director level and above)
Experience with designing and building FinCrime data solutions and/or case management platforms would be a plus
Analysing business needs and working closely with other colleague, for evaluation and design of complex ecosystems which revolves around CRM, Billing, ERP, sales & marketing and any other systems where customer footprint occurs across the organization. This involves building a comprehensive technical design including data models, integrations, user interfaces, and security configurations.
Solid grasp of data and data concepts for capturing and reporting data
Professional experience to carry out all the activities independently to support streams within the Finance functions
Providing ongoing technical support for the technical landscape for FinCrime, troubleshooting issues, and addressing queries to support the technical and business teams.
