The role





We are looking for an enthusiastic, first class principal associate to join our growing national Private Client Team to be based in our top ranked Manchester team.



You would largely run your own caseload but would also provide supervision for the junior members of the team and work alongside partners on complex/high value matters. The work is varied, covering estate planning, advising on tax and property ownership structures and covering inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts and other related tax and fiduciary work. We act for a range of high and ultra high net worth clients and it is often necessary to work collaboratively with other teams e.g. real estate, corporate and family as well as third parties, such as family offices, accountants and financial advisors.

The person





You will be 9 years PQE+ with experience gained at a large regional or City firm. The role will require someone who


is self-managed and confident in setting and prioritising their own work agenda. has excellent written as well as verbal communication skills and so is able to demonstrate that they can convey complex matters in a way that different audiences can understand. is confident and able to build sustainable relationships with clients, lawyers and internal colleagues is organised and methodical in how they approach their work. has excellent attention to detail. is a team player. is willing to take on new responsibilities and challenges.

The activities





This role will see you advising high net worth individuals and trustees on a range of issues including:


estate and succession planning family investment companies partnerships inheritance tax and capital gains tax complex Will drafting trustee powers and duties establishment of trusts estate administration
