An opportunity has arisen for the post of Principal Building Surveyor to join Corporate Resources Design & Maintenance.



The role will involve embarking on the delivery of projects and programmes of work associated with maintenance, minor works and other schemes for both revenue and capital budgets. This is an exciting period for the service area to build upon the successful delivery of our projects to date. The role will strategically support the Service Director as part of a multi-disciplinary team of property professionals.



The post will involve liaising with people at all levels within the organisation including Education professionals, head teachers and Elected Members, as well as with external agencies and the public. You must be able to respond flexibly to changing demands and priorities, be able to work as an individual with self-motivation as well as a good team player, a good communicator and be able to act with diplomacy in difficult and sensitive areas to achieve challenging targets and continuous improvement required in this high profile service area.



The post will be based be based within the Corporate Resources Team at the Valleys Innovation Centre, Navigation Park, Abercynon CF45 4SN.
