Principal Geotechnical Engineer

A leading engineering consultancy in Staffordshire is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. If you have a passion for geotechnical engineering and a track record of successful project leadership, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

As the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leading geotechnical projects from inception to completion. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough site investigations and geotechnical assessments.
  • Designing and implementing innovative and effective geotechnical solutions.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Managing project budgets and timelines while adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in geotechnical engineering, including project leadership.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software and analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Desirable: Chartered or nearing chartered status with a relevant professional body.
Salary & Benefits:
