Job Summary

We are an ambitious startup, backed by Innovate UK and private investors, seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to join our founding team. This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior position at an early stage, with significant responsibility for shaping our technical and R&D operations as the company grows.

This role includes

company share options

and an initial early-stage salary, with rapid growth potential as we move into the revenue stage. Travel to partner sites across the UK will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Design, analyse, and optimise hydraulic systems across diverse applications. Lead engineering projects, working with project managers and partners to deliver on scope, time, and budget. Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and other tools. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance testing. Construction/installation, ensuring compliance and functionality. Produce clear technical documentation and reports for stakeholders. Mentor and help grow a high-performing engineering team.

Skills & Experience

Proficiency in AutoCAD. CFD modelling experience is desirable. Strong project management and leadership capabilities. Solid understanding of fluid mechanics and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of construction processes and industry standards. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
