As part of a University-wide programme of development, and a \xc2\xa34.5 million investment into the Faculty of Technology, the School of Computer Science is now undergoing a period strategic strengthening to capitalise on its robust student recruitment numbers, recently reviewed programme, and opportunities to further its research, teaching, and knowledge exchange portfolios across its provision. To support on this development, we are seeking to appoint a Principal Lecturer and Associate Head of School who will play a key role in the operational management and leadership of an ambitious and growing School. This is a highly visible and active leadership position and requires a proactive, people-oriented person who will lead by example and co-create an enabling team environment to facilitate a high standard of academic work.

Strong candidates for the role will demonstrate a successful track record of programme and team management. They will be seen as leaders by their colleagues and will be effective mentors to staff and students alike. They will be highly organised and will have a strong aptitude for managing the operational aspects of academic life.
