Role Introduction:

We're seeking an exceptional Principal Consultant to act as a senior technical authority. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives at 4th line support, complex project delivery, and cross-platform problem solving in multi-tenant environments typical of a Microsoft-focused MSP.

You'll operate at the forefront of service excellence--architecting high-impact solutions, resolving deeply technical issues, and contributing to client-facing delivery across strategic and enterprise-level projects.

This is not a line management role but one where leadership is demonstrated through technical depth, collaboration, and influence.
What You Will Do:

As a Principal M365 Consultant, you will:Provide

4th line escalation and root cause analysis

for complex issues across Microsoft 365 and Power Platform Design and deliver

robust multi-tenant solutions

including migrations, integrations, advanced configurations, and governance frameworks Own and maintain

solution templates, automation scripts, and reusable assets

to uplift technical maturity across the business Collaborate with Service Transition teams to validate new customer environments, ensuring platform integrity and best-practice readiness Lead technical aspects of M365 and Power Platform projects across

diverse customer estates

, supporting project managers and delivery leads Advise customers on

security posture enhancements

, including Secure Score, audit log management, SIEM integration, and regulatory alignment Ensure

Power Platform governance policies, lifecycle models, and technical controls

are applied consistently across customer environments Support subscription and licensing management in collaboration with Asset Management and CSP services Apply LLM prompt engineering and AI tooling to improve resolution workflows, automate documentation, and enhance knowledge reuse across support functions Participate in

technical workshops, discovery sessions, and client consultations

as a senior subject matter expert Track Microsoft roadmap developments and contribute to readiness planning and service evolution strategies

What You Will Have:

As a Principal M365 Consultant, you will have:Proven experience designing, supporting, and delivering Microsoft 365 solutions in

MSP/multi-customer

environments Deep technical expertise across Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID Strong working knowledge of the Power Platform ecosystem--including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio--with the ability to ensure

governance, lifecycle controls, and tenant-level compliance

Proficiency with

scripting, automation, and prompt engineering techniques

using tools like PowerShell, Graph API, and LLM-integrated assistants to drive resolution and enhance productivity Familiarity with management frameworks like

Microsoft 365 Lighthouse

and Intune in a delegated admin context Capable of leading complex investigations and providing

4th line engineering support

for deeply technical issues across customer estates A strong communicator--able to present issues and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Proactive in staying current with Microsoft's evolving roadmap and able to advise on its operational and security impact Passionate about delivering

secure, scalable, and well-governed

cloud environments without stepping into solution design or app development

Preferred CertificationsMicrosoft 365 Administrator Expert Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals or Functional Consultant Associate Azure Administrator Associate or Architect Associate Microsoft Security certifications (MS-500, SC-200, SC-300)
