Job Description

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
- Experience in specific technology domain areas like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications
- Deep hands-on expertise in networking technologies and cloud architecture (CCIE or equivalent in experience, AWS Networking Professional certfied or similar in experience)

Join AWS as a Principal Networking Solutions Architect and lead the technical evolution of how the world's largest enterprises architect their cloud networks. You are the technical authority shaping our networking infrastructure decisions and driving AWS's networking product roadmap, directly working with AWS's most strategic customers, influence over product development, and the opportunity to solve networking challenges at unprecedented scale.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Technical Leadership
- Customer Impact: Lead technical engagements with the CTOs and VP of Engineering of our largest customers supporting them in their cloud networking transformations
- Product Influence: Direct input into AWS networking service roadmaps based on customer needs
- Thought Leadership: Author definitive whitepapers and present at major industry conferences
Advanced Architecture & Innovation
- Scale: Design enterprise networking solutions supporting millions of users across global infrastructures
- Technology: Architect with VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, CloudFront, VPC Lattice and emerging AWS networking services
- Innovation: Pioneer SDN, NFV, and containerized networking approaches for cloud-native applications
Technical Excellence & Automation
- Infrastructure as Code: Build reusable, scalable automation using CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK
- DevOps Integration: Create networking automation that integrates seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines
- Mentorship: Elevate team capabilities through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
- Review critical customer escalations and coordinate with global teams. Your technical input directly impacts customer decisions
- Lead architecture sessions with enterprise customers planning major network transformations to design the backbone infrastructure for digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with AWS product teams on networking service development. Your customer insights drive features used by millions of AWS users
- Mentor team members and develop technical strategies for complex opportunities.
- Create thought leadership content, research emerging technologies, and prepare for industry presentations. Your technical perspective helps establish AWS's position in cloud networking innovation
