ob Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Officer to join our team in Birmingham Children's Trust. As a Principal Officer - Child Protection, you will work with families, colleagues, and other professionals to reduce the likelihood of significant harm to children and young people. You will chair child protection conferences, adopt a strengths-based approach, and contribute to service development and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Chair child protection conferences and ensure clear, agreed plans are in place.
2. Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to ensure children receive appropriate care.
3. Ensure legal, statutory, and good practice demands are met.
4. Manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet statutory timescales.
5. Champion best practice, support others, and demonstrate accountability.
Requirements:
1. Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively and challenge practice.
4. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
