If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to work in the role of Principal Officer within the Implementation section of the Transport Development Planning team.
As a Principal Officer you'll make a difference to residents of East Sussex by helping to ensure a safe, effective transport network.
In this integral and high-profile role, you will liaise with Developers and Consultants to influence, agree and secure by legal agreement all types of development related highway works. You will maintain oversight for the County Council verifying that schemes are designed to the correct standards and planning permission requirements are met to ensure a safe effective transportation network.
We are looking for candidates who have:
Experience of working within the planning/transport planning sector and/or road construction/maintenance sector
The skills to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
An ability to develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partner organisations
