What you\'ll be getting up to

You\'ll be moving the Council forward in its plan making process, advising colleagues and members on all aspects of planning policy and helping to develop others.

You\'ll take a lead role in the planning policy team and assist the Planning Manager deliver a modern, customer focused, business friendly planning service.

Who we\'re looking for

  • A confident Policy Planner who has an excellent knowledge of the local plan process, with the ability to contribute to the delivery and management of the Local Plan.
  • Experience of preparing reports and presenting to chief officers and elected members
  • Experience of dealing effectively with members of the public and conducting consultation exercises in a planning context
  • A people person with skills who enjoys working with communities and developing the Council\'s direction in planning terms
