Overview


Anglia Ruskin University London offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business and Management; Finance and Accounting; Hospitality, Events and Tourism; Health; and Law. We currently have over 6,000 students, located at our East London campus, very close to the East India Docklands Light Railway stop. Our National Student Survey (NSS) 2025 results were excellent, demonstrating our commitment to students and the very high student satisfaction levels.

We are now seeking to recruit an experienced, senior administrator as the Principal's Office Manager. ARU London offers a range of staff benefits including 25 days' annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays, Nest pension scheme, free library services, wellbeing services and CPD opportunities.

Summary of Responsibilities



Organise and service meetings and events. Tasks include but are not limited to: preparation of meeting papers, minute taking, compiling, formatting and issuing reports and where appropriate ensuring action points are met Manage projects Prepare documentation Liaise with members of staff across ARU London and ARU and liaise with key external stakeholders Develop internal administration tracking tools Provide the first point of contact for administrative matters Carry out general administrative tasks Create and maintain records Provide administrative support for data collection and presentation activities Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post

Requirements



Successful administrative experience in higher education Experience of servicing meetings and committees, including minute taking and following up on action points Using a range of IT and HE information systems Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems Successful experience in dealing with confidential matters Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office and Google applications) Knowledge of OfS Conditions of Registration and student experience and student outcome indicators Project management skills Proven customer service skills with experience of responding efficiently and effectively to email enquiries Ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands, be able to prioritise and to work flexibly Excellent time management and organisation skills Ability to develop creative approaches to problem solving, working flexibly as required Ability to work to a high standard with attention to detail
