Due to the upcoming retirement of one of our Print Assistants, we are now seeking a new colleague to join our team!

Job Summary



Reporting to the Print Manager, you will be an essential part of our Print production team, supporting the operation of various printing machinery. This role is ideal for individuals who are willing to continuously learn and develop themselves, who is detail-oriented, and motivated to contribute to our print manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities



Material Preparation

: Assist in the preparation of printing materials, including loading paper and board, setting up relevant supplies, and ensuring all necessary components are ready for the printing process.

Machine Assistance

: Work alongside experienced Print Minders to set up, run, and maintain printing equipment. Learn the operation of the printing machine and assist in their operation.

Assist in Troubleshooting

: Assist in identifying and addressing minor technical issues or malfunctions that may occur during production, escalating larger issues to Print Minders or Shift Managers

Quality Control

: Collaborate with the team to monitor print quality, making adjustments as needed to maintain the highest standards of output.

Cleaning and Maintenance

: Participate in routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning and minimise downtime.

Teamwork:

Collaborate closely with other team members, including Print Minders and Quality control, to meet production targets and address any production challenges.

Flexibility & Co-operation:

To perform such duties as is deemed reasonable by management in response to changing business circumstances

Skills & Experience Required



Lithographic print experience is preferred, although not essential. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the role. Excellent communication skills with a good team-working ethic. A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures in a manufacturing environment - someone who puts #Safety First Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends. A pro-active positive attitude with a willingness to support. Fork lift or Narrow Aisle truck experience is desirable

Physical Demands of Role



You must have excellent colour vision with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

There is a requirement to handle materials and board so you must be able to lift /position them into the correct workspace. Having the capacity to lift and move materials as required by the job is essential.

This role is factory-based and follows a DuPont rotating shift pattern of 12.25 hours (36.75 hours per week) on both day and night shifts, offering built-in blocks of 7 consecutive days off in each cycle, giving you a great work-life balance.
