Micropress is one of the UK's leading commercial printers, employing over 195 people at our state-of-the-art facility in Reydon, Suffolk. We are currently seeking a Printing Press Minder to join our high-performing press team.
About the Role
As a Press Minder, you will play a crucial supporting role in our busy press room. The successful applicant will be an experienced print minder, able to produce high quality print and work within a team. You will help ensure the smooth operation of our cutting-edge Heidelberg presses -- including 8 to 10 Colour B1 machines.
Our facility features Heidelberg's latest technology, including Inspection Control Systems, Plate to Unit logistics, and Push to Stop automation -- providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with some of the most advanced print equipment in the world.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in print production and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
Key Responsibilities
Be able to setup and operation of Heidelberg presses
Support the team in maintaining print quality and consistency
Help ensure pressroom cleanliness and readiness
Collaborate with production staff to meet job deadlines
Learn and apply basic maintenance and troubleshooting under guidance
Ideal Candidate
Basic understanding of colour and quality in print
Keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Eagerness to learn and develop within the print industry
Shifts
12-hour night shifts (6am till 18:00pm)
Average for 42 hours a week

Whilst full training will be provided, the successful candidate will be expected to be reliable, work accurately and safely, have a good eye for detail and a bright 'can do' approach to work. In addition, a flexible approach to duties and tasks and the ability to work well as part of a team is vital as you will need to be able to communicate effectively to coordinate efforts.
