What you'll do

Deliver high-quality nursing care to inmates, including assessments, triage, and treatment planning. Administer medications and perform medical procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, and catheterization. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans that address complex medical needs. Monitor vital signs and conduct physical examinations to ensure optimal patient health. Provide education on health management and disease prevention to promote wellness within the facility. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility protocols. Participate in emergency response situations, utilizing your skills in airway management and acute pain management.

Experience

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license and relevant clinical experience. Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Cerner or Epic; experience with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding is a plus. Background in behavioral health, geriatrics, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
