Job Overview


Reeds Solicitors LLP is a successful national legal practice undertaking the full spectrum of Legal Aid and privately funded Criminal Law.

Our rapidly growing Private Crime Team handles a high volume of enquiries daily from potential clients seeking legal advice and assistance with their ongoing criminal or regulatory matters.

We are looking for a candidate who has an ability to build relationships with potential new clients and an ability to sell our Private Client services, with the end goal of persuading clients to instruct Reeds LLP privately to represent them.

Ideal candidates will also have knowledge in criminal law and eager for a new challenge in a dynamic and supporting environment. This role involves engaging with prospective private clients, providing quotes for our services and contributing to business development of the Private Client Department.

The role can be undertaken alongside a role as a solicitor, or caseworker as long as candidates can balance their workload.

Some flexibility can be managed with the days undertaking the role. However, it is essentially candidates can work Mondays each week.

Responsibilities



Oversee and manage an inbox of enquiries from prospective clients. Proactively contact prospective clients to showcase our national team's expertise in regulatory and criminal law. Engage with clients promptly to ensure a smooth and speedy transition to the appropriate fee earner. Develop a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of our specialisms and services we offer to effectively match clients with the right fee earner. Monitor and coordinate fee earner schedules and availability to facilitate new matters. Support and contribute to business development initiatives. When needed, manage a small caseload of criminal matters, providing expert advice and assistance. Any other duties as directed by the Team Leader or a member of the Management Team.

Person Specification



Possess a strong drive to generate work for the firm. Experience in criminal law is preferred, to be able to discuss on the law and procedure with clients if required. Ability to understand team members' specialisations and effectively promote their expertise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and commercially minded. Target driven. Excellent understanding of client care requirements. Proficient in using Microsoft Office package and the ability to learn and efficiently use both practice and case management software. Resilient with the ability to cope with everchanging priorities. A flexible approach and willingness to help, across all teams and departments, with a "can do" attitude.

Salary -

Competitive, negotiable dependent on experience.

Working hours -

Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 5.00pm, with one hour for lunch. Flexible working/part-time working available
