About the Family:



An elegant, warm, and busy family visiting is seeking a gentle, proactive, and polished nanny to support their children during a short stay in London. The children are friendly, active, and well-travelled, and the household appreciates someone calm under pressure who can blend in and take initiative.

This role will support the family during outings (shopping, events, restaurants), in the hotel/apartment (engaging children with calm play), and occasionally offer solo care to allow the mother some space to attend to her schedule.

Ideal Candidate:



Discreet and emotionally intelligent London-savvy -- knows great parks, indoor/outdoor kids activities Warm and engaging with children, but respectful of boundaries Understands travel/family dynamics -- flexible, adaptable, polished Comfortable working in luxury settings (hotels, fine dining, etc.) Fluent in English; Additional languages is a bonus Valid enhanced DBS, Paediatric First Aid, and right to work in the UK

Role Details:



Location: Primarily Central London Dates: Start 18th July 2025 Must be fully available Schedule: A mix of full-day and half-day shifts based on the family's needs Rate: Depending on experience and flexibility Children: Primary care focus on one or two children (ages between 1 & 9)

Responsibilities



Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, and educational exercises. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating any dietary restrictions. Assist with activities and provide support in learning new skills. Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Manage daily routines, including nap times, playtimes, and outings. Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster self-esteem and confidence in children.

Skills



Previous experience in childcare or a related field is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both children and parents. Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly. First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage but not essential; training can be provided. Creativity in planning engaging activities that stimulate children's imagination and learning. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or unexpected situations. A genuine love for working with children and contributing positively to their development.
