Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Nanny and PA for our household. We are a very entrepreneurial couple. My husband runs a busy business, and I am a lawyer. We have two children (3.5 yrs & 7yrs). We have a third child due in September. We moved to Wrotham (near Borough Green) in the Sevenoaks area a few years ago now.

We really need someone dynamic and flexible because this is not only a nanny-specific role. With a third child coming along, we need someone hands-on who we can rely on and who has the capability to help us in different areas of our lives.

We are in need of some reliable nanny and childcare support, personal assistance work for our family and regular household management and care. At the forefront of everything, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care for our children, whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Hours



Full-time: 40 hours a week (with the ability to be flexible) Days: 5 days a week

Salary



35,000-40,000 Per Annum (depending on skills, experience and suitability to the role)

Location



Wrotham, near Borough Green, in Sevenoaks



Provide attentive and responsible care for three children in a safe, clean and nurturing environment Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, learning and outdoor play Prepare meals and snacks for children, ensuring they are nutritious and balanced Assist with homework, tutoring work and educational activities, promoting learning and development Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities and ensuring belongings are properly stored Moderate housekeeping School and nursery pickups and drop-offs Follow parents' instructions regarding routines, discipline and any specific care requirements Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's day, including any notable behaviours, concerns or reasons for praise

Requirements



Previous experience working with children of various ages (preferably a minimum of 3 years) Strong understanding of baby and child development and age-appropriate activities Excellent communication skills Reliable and punctual, with the ability to adhere to scheduled hours First aid certification would be a bonus Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities effectively Respectful and patient demeanour when interacting with children Valid driver's licence and clean driving record (a must!) Ability to pass a background check Ability to provide two references Must have the relevant DBS checks Non-smoker

Housekeeping



As a caregiver to children, your housekeeping skills would be helpful in creating a clean space for you to provide the necessary care. It also maintains a safe, comfortable living space for you, the children and our family. It is important to note that you won't be thoroughly cleaning our entire house; we have cleaners. However, you will be required to be on top of housekeeping in the

areas

where you spend the most time with the children or where we may direct help is needed.

Housekeeping may include, when required:



Tidying Up:

Cleaning up any items on the floor around the house (but in particular the playroom and communal areas) that could cause a tripping hazard or items that are crowding the surfaces, such as shoes, toys. Etc

Keeping Kitchen Clean:

Dirty dishes, crockery & cutlery to be loaded in the dishwasher if and when required. Disinfecting the counters and cooking areas helps you create meals that are germ-free.

Wiping Down Surfaces

: Removing dust, debris or food.

Sweep or Clean Floor:

Any floor spillages or mess will need sweeping. Keeping the floors clean is essential, but this task will only be necessary once or twice a week.

Removing domestic waste:

If bins are overflowing or full, old waste and rubbish can lead to smells within the home and unsanitary conditions, but you can keep the home smelling fresh by regularly taking out the bins when needed.

Laundry and Ironing

: Assisting with laundry and ironing, where required, would be a massive support in a household of 5. This could be done during the hours the children are at school or nursery.

Personal Assistance and House Management



Where required, this may include:

Tasks that would ordinarily be best done during working/opening hours, such as research tasks, certain shop visits, garden centre visits, parcel collection or returns, dry cleaning drop-offs and pick-ups, and shopping for household. Outdoor upkeep/ light gardening maintenance, including watering plants, sweeping debris, deboxing parcels, etc. Liaising with handymen and other tradespeople, the gardener, the cleaner, etc.
