We are seeking a dedicated Nanny to provide care for our 2 children aged 2.5 years and 1 month. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, taking the eldest child to nursery and supporting their development through educational activities and play. This position requires someone who is reliable, patient, and has a genuine love for working with children.
Duties
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met.
Take the eldest child to nursery (due to attend part time)
Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, behaviour, and any concerns.
Provide emotional support and guidance to children, helping them navigate social interactions.
Implement routines that promote structure and discipline while allowing for fun and creativity.
The role is based at our home in Oddington, Glocestershire
Ideally we would like the candidate to do 1 babysit each week, working until approx 9.30pm. Day of week to be agreed in advance.
Experience
Previous experience in nannying is preferred.
NVQ or other relevant qualification in Childcare
First aid training and current first aid certificate
DBS checked
Ability to educate children in basic subjects; proficiency in English is required
Strong organisational skills to manage daily schedules effectively.
Arranging play dates
Ability to look after both children at the same time
A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with both children and parents.
