Being a Pro Teacher



Being a Pro Teacher at Good Vibes is a role that offers flexible daytime, evening and/or weekend teaching, making it an ideal opportunity for those who want to build a career in music. This could be a part- or full-time role.

Your Responsibilities

As a Pro Drum Teacher, you'll:

Inspire

students using the Good Vibes method with fun lessons that allow each student to flourish and develop a passion for the drums by developing the 5 pillars of Ability, Creativity, Musicianship, Performance and Collaboration.

Enhance

the experience that students get by encouraging them to take part in performances, workshops and joining bands.

Share

the amazing progress that your students make with their parents and carers and keep them up to date so that they can support at home.

Promote

and show how amazing learning an instrument is to help us achieve our aim of getting as many people making music as possible.

Care

about the students by building trusting, professional relationships and looking out for their safety and wellbeing.

Grow

as a teacher and develop your teaching skills by keeping your knowledge fresh and trying out new approaches, all the time using the REAL teaching lens to focus on Relevance, Engagement, Assessment and Language.

Your Experience & Background



You're a high level drummer and have gained your expertise through gigging and playing or you may have studied at a specialist music college. You're new to teaching and keen to learn the Good Vibes approach. You have the ability to turn your hand to most styles of modern music.

You're a fun loving individual who understands your role in the band. You're reliable and take your commitments seriously...when you commit you deliver!

Your working week



Down time is really important so our teachers work a maximum of 5 days a week. When you're teaching, you'll have a varied week of teaching in different schools and at our specialist teaching studio. You'll be teaching groups of 3 or 4 children as well as 1:1 lessons too, including adults. You may also be involved in delivering workshops, courses or coaching bands too.

You'll spend Thursday afternoons off timetable when we get together as a team at the studio for a coffee, catchup and some time together as colleagues. This could be in doing some training, involved in team meetings or using the time for planning.

We teach at the studio all year round which really helps to drive progress for our students. School holidays are always a little quieter, so this is time for your holiday too.

Salary



Salary range 22 - 29k (FTE) plus travel expenses/fuel contribution, relocation package, pension, free studio hire, flexible holiday with term time allowance, reserved planning time, full training and ongoing development plus career progression opportunities.
