The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Probate Genealogy Case Manager
to join our team. In this role, you will manage and coordinate probate genealogy investigations, helping clients locate heirs and beneficiaries in often complex family structures. You will work closely with solicitors, clients, and other professionals, ensuring thorough and accurate research, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed genealogical research to identify heirs and beneficiaries in probate cases.
Manage multiple probate cases from inception to conclusion, ensuring timely progress and reporting.
Liaise with clients, legal teams, and external agencies to gather information and documentation.
Maintain comprehensive case files, ensuring all research and correspondence is accurately recorded.
Prepare reports and recommendations for legal and private client teams.
Keep up-to-date with relevant legal requirements, genealogical methodologies, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience in genealogy research, probate investigation, or a related field.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Proficiency with research databases, genealogical software, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of probate law and procedures is highly desirable.
