The Job Mission



This role sits within the Systems team, supporting Instrumentation and Control development for a major UK nuclear project.

You'll lead the definition and integration of I&C requirements within complex process systems.

Your future team works across design disciplines to ensure compliant, efficient and testable I&C logic.

Key responsibilities include:



Define Instrumentation & Control functional requirements for assigned systems Develop I&C documentation including logic descriptions, alarm sheets, and operating modes Create and analyse Detailed Functional Diagrams (DFDs) and FTP specifications Ensure consistency of I&C logic with wider system design and process needs Coordinate with mechanical, layout, safety and configuration teams to validate interfaces Engage with procurement teams to support I&C technical specifications Contribute to Engineering Change processes, challenging and validating modifications Promote continuous improvement across I&C documentation and methodologies

Qualifications



Essential Skills



Degree in Electrical, Control, or Process Engineering (or similar) Skilled in producing I&C logic diagrams, alarm sheets and functional specs Familiar with I&C architecture in safety-critical systems Able to work cross-functionally and manage priorities effectively Knowledge of engineering lifecycle and change control processes Confident using Microsoft Office tools and engineering documentation platforms

Desired Skills



Knowledge of EPR systems and safety classification Experience on live industrial or nuclear sites Familiarity with SPPA-T2000, SPPA-T3000 or Teleperm XP Exposure to Functional Test Platforms (FTP) in nuclear applications
