POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of our EIMEA Technical Engineering and process safety team we are looking for an individual who can communicate and collaborate with our local and Europe based engineers. At H.B. Fuller we are committed to continuous improvement and process safety to support growing the business. We have a broad range of projects planned for our Preston site resulting in the requirement for this new role.

In addition to project work the successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the maintenance department and to create strategies to reduce breakdown/repairs and further develop the department. The role involves working closely with the Process Engineer and the Production Manager on improving the existing aspects of the manufacturing processes as well as future projects.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Work in accordance with H.B. Fuller EHS requirements, Polices and Principles.
  • Responsible for Maintenance & Repair budgets
  • Source suppliers and Contractors to support existing site activities and new projects, includes day to day management of contractors on site.
  • Assisting to all Maintenance activities for the different equipment on site.
  • Develop KPI\xe2\x80\x99s for maintenance department to measure performance and support production manager implementing lean/six sigma tools
  • Aid preventive maintenance planning and suggest improvements to minimize repairs and downtime.
  • Help to define engineering requirements for equipment and infrastructures, as well as contribute to develop the necessary engineering projects
  • Keep accurate documentation of equipment and infrastructures, includes P&ID
  • Help to ensure that engineering projects are designed and delivered on time and in budget including all applicable Safety aspects as well as productivity enhancements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent (Chemical engineering will be considered if candidates have a strong background in a mechanical environment)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, HAC and regulations such as Dangerous substances and Explosive atmospheres would be suited to this role
