We have five showrooms across Yorkshire, and you will be working in a diverse team (office based) in a business that is very varied and fast paced supporting and coordinating the Build and Installation of Conservatories and Extensions.

The primary tasks of the role are

:

Negotiating with suppliers to ensure we purchase materials at a competitive price. Set up and manage a material database detailing costs and products to be used as a reference point for future orders. Maintain a diary system and cross-referencing processes to keep track of bookings and changes to planned arrangements. Day to day liaising with Builders and Installers to order materials required. Maintain Management Reports.
- You will be in regular contact with our customers and suppliers and therefore you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience.

- Develop great relationships with new and existing Suppliers and customers , understanding their needs, and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible

- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey

- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

- Providing admin support to the departments additional requirements

Preferred Key skills/knowledge required - The applicant needs to meet a specific level of competence or knowledge.



- Experience working within a Builders Merchants would be extremely beneficial

- A good understanding of the construction industry would be extremely beneficial

- Strong negotiation skills

- Passion for delivering great customer service

- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative as part of a team

- Demonstrable experience in building relationships with customers and colleagues

- Strong administration skills.

- Able to work well under pressure.

- Able to build and maintain good relationships with suppliers & subcontractors.

- Good organisational skills

- Team player

- Computer literate - Microsoft Word/Excel

- Good understanding of Sage software system but not essential
