The Procurement Administrator will be responsible for:
Supplier Relationship Management.
Tender / Benchmarking
Project Handovers identifying long lead and high costed items.
Material / Inventory reduction management
Liaising Production and Procurement Manager to give live status reports and updates.
Work closely with others in their department to identify continuous improvement ways of working to reduce time or cost where possible.
Managing Projects from a procurement aspect from design concept through to project delivery, ensuring material and pricing is on track and to budget
Supplier development, management and selection
Quarterly Business Reviews
Managing procurement end to end of product categories in line with MRP / SALES ORDERS and RFP
All other associated task to support the Procurement team as and when the business requires.
Duties:
Raising purchase orders to the MRP demand or new project demand in a timely manner from release date, ensuring orders are raised correctly with accurate information to allow the purchase.
Management of supplier relationships on day to day basis chasing delivery shortages and requesting best price possible to keep cost under project budget.
Managing suppliers account performance through OTIF, Cost, Quality and responsiveness through business reviews, phone calls or supporting the procurement manager with QBR's
Identifying/creating cost saving opportunities within your area, working in a project format to help deliver that cost saving to the business.
Representing procurement in various meetings to support production and give updates on deliveries to allow build planning.
Resolving Invoice queries with finance and supplier to ensure payments are on time, this will include amending incorrect orders, pushing supplier on any invoicing errors
Reacting to customer demand change where required to pull in material to meet requirements
Inventory management, ensuring stock is maintained at correct values / levels and managing excess inventory.
Raising part returns to suppliers for faulty parts, working through corrective action and remedy with the supplier whilst monitoring and recording each occurrence.
Adhere to any health and safety or environmental company procedure to maintain safety for self and others around.
Preparing reports and updates as and when required.
Arranging transport when required.
