We're looking for a dynamic

Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management Partner

to join our team at Guinness, to lead on the delivery of our

Contract Assurance Framework

.



This role will work with business areas to support the embedding of our best-practice framework for Contract Management and to ensure that robust contract management is in place for our most significant contracts.


About the role





This is a full-time vacancy which can be based in either our Oldham or Central London office.



The main purpose of the role is to lead the implementation and ongoing delivery of our Contract Assurance Framework which underpins and supports the delivery and embedding of our Contract Management Framework.



You will provide expert advice on contract management and assess the level of assurance in place on a number of our highest-value and priority contracts, ensuring that key contract management and governance arrangements are in place and fit for purpose.



This role sits within the Policy and Procedure area of our Procurement & SRM Team, so you will also work with one of our Senior Procurement & SRM Partners on a range of other policy, strategy and special projects, as well as cyclical monitoring and reporting for the P&SRM team.



We appreciate that flexibility is important, so we offer a hybrid working style with 3 office-based days per week.


What we're looking for





We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do, so you'll not only be an experienced procurement professional with a background in housing or the wider public sector, but you'll also highly motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.



As this role is primarily focussed on contract assurance, we are ideally looking for candidate that either has experience of managing contracts, or of rolling out and embedding structured contract management practices. It is also essential that you understand the legislation that applies to public sector procurement or have experience of working with it. Experience in a procurement policy environment would also be beneficial.



You will be able to demonstrate:


Essential Skills & Experience:




Experience in the implementing and embedding structured Contract Management Frameworks, or of delivering a similar Assurance Programme. Experience of commercial and contract management, in a service orientated and commercial environment. Experience of adding value and additional commercial benefit through the development of constructive supplier relationships. Proven project / programme management experience including ability to manage large scale multiple projects concurrently. Experience of implementing Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators in relation to Contract Management. Excellent knowledge of UK procurement regulatory requirements and risk mitigation strategies. Excellent knowledge and understanding of business management principles including decision making, negotiation, planning, budgeting and projections. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Desirable:




Experience of managing the complete tendering process. Experience of working within a procurement function across a geographically dispersed environment. Proven experience of delivering effective and compliant procurement solutions across a range of asset management and asset compliance functions.

Essential Qualifications:




Educated to degree level (or equivalent). MCIPS qualified and/or equivalent.
