Procurement Consultant – It/is
Job Description
Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are on the look for a Procurement Consultant to support a specific project within their IT/IS Category. This role is OUTSIDE IR35 offering a day rate up to 550 on an initial 6 month contract (potential to extend). The role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectation to go on-site 2 days every 2 weeks (expenses will be covered for travel and accommodation only).
This role is aiming to commence in January 2026 so candidates must be available to start at short notice. Please note also that applications will be reviewed/responded to early January 2026.
The successful candidate will be assigned to support a specific requirement which will require full, hands-on support, to run an end to end (open procedure) Procurement from creating the Specification through to Contract Award/Management.
Candidates applying for this role MUST HAVE experience which covers:
- Consistent, including recent, experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector is required
- Strong experience and understanding of the ICT & Digital category is required (this role requires a specialist)
- Candidates must have experience running end to end OJEU/PCR compliant Procurements, PA23 is advantageous but is not required
- Strong communication, stakeholder and supplier management skills
