Procurement Coordinator (6 Months Ftc)

Join us as a Procurement Coordinator and play a vital role in improving procurement efficiency, strengthening financial control, and supporting high-value projects across the business.


Reporting to the Cost Controller, you'll gain hands-on exposure to complex, multi-currency projects while working closely with Finance, Operations, Project Managers, and Supply Chain Quality.


Based in Glasgow on a 6 months fixed term contract, this is a role that offers visibility, responsibility, and the opportunity to develop strong commercial and procurement expertise.


What you'll do


Issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs)
Evaluating supplier quotations and converting approved quotes and requisitions into purchase orders
Ensuring all purchase orders include correct specifications, certification requirements, delivery schedules, and payment terms
Liaising with suppliers to resolve pricing, quality, delivery, or invoice issues
Running and actioning monthly Outstanding Orders reports, including closing POs at month-end or project close
Maintaining accurate procurement and financial records in line with company policies and procedures
Supporting the Cost Controller and Project Accountant to ensure project trackers remain accurate
Working closely with Finance to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and payments Supporting compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Assisting with monthly reconciliations for rental and personnel providers to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
Maintaining data integrity and consistency across financial and procurement systems
Collaborating with the Supply Chain Quality Lead to ensure supplier quality issues are addressed


What you'll need


Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
A disciplined and compliant approach to policies, procedures, and governance.


What you bring


Experience working in a multi-currency, multi-company environment
Previous experience in Oil & Gas or Renewables is desirable
Experience using procurement or ERP systems is an advantage.
