We're looking for a detail-oriented Procurement & Supply Coordination Specialist to support internal procurement cadence and ensure timely, in-full delivery of goods from suppliers.
This role acts as a key link between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams, managing supplier production schedules, and driving supplier performance to meet delivery targets.
This mid-level role is ideal for someone with experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain who understands procurement processes and is ready to step into a key coordination role. You'll work closely with our internal buying team to support all procurement cadence activities and strategies, helping manage supplier orders, track progress, and drive On Time In Full (OTIF) performance.
Externally, you'll coordinate with suppliers to ensure goods are delivered ready for consolidation and export to customers via container shipments to include additional supporting supplier declarations where appropriate to support international trade.
You'll act as the central link between procurement, customer services, warehousing, and logistics, ensuring visibility, alignment, and efficiency throughout the process. This position supports the internal procurement cadence, strengthens supplier relationships, and contributes to production planning by ensuring goods are delivered on time and in full. You'll act as a central point of coordination between buyers, suppliers, and warehouse teams, managing inbound deliveries, enabling efficient export consolidation, and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.

Responsibilities
Support internal procurement cadence by working alongside buyers to manage order progress and delivery timelines.
Track and report on supplier performance, with a focus on achieving OTIF targets.
Coordinate inbound deliveries with external suppliers to ensure timely receipt into the warehouse.
Align delivery schedules to support efficient container consolidation and outbound shipping.
Proactively manage lead times, flag potential risks, and help resolve delays.
Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with UK import/export regulations.
Continually seek opportunities to improve supplier service and delivery accuracy
Closely maintain positive and constructive relationships with existing suppliers.
Supporting department with PO placement with suppliers and monitor these through to delivery.
Support new part introduction, following controlled processes.
Daily system updates to maintain system integrity such as Vendor card management for Vendors, lead times, pricing and other key information.
To be able to review and conclude invoice Queries sent by Accounts.
Supporting Buyers in collating sourcing options demonstrating true landed costs via Benchmarking exercises and templates.
Complete RFQ requests from Sales Managers working alongside suppliers and Buyers.
Sales Project reviews for best supply to meet deadlines and commercial viability.
Costing tables and benchmarking exercises to compare suppliers testing rigor in best practice on supply routes.
Planning function of Inventory coming in considering quantity and arrival date vs Sales demand /Stock Safety levels /Cashflow whilst maintaining consideration for stock turnover
Support Buyers in creating, developing, and support SLAs with suppliers, ensuring they meet the business' needs.
Writing and maintaining procedures to align with company needs for best procurement practice and ISO accreditation
Raising, actioning, investigating supplier discrepancies relating to product failures.
Managing day to day commodities from set out Buyer strategies.
Analysing, reporting and presenting of procurement monthly KPIs
Support Procurement team members by covering where required.
Contribute to annual Goals in line with Company objectives.
Deliver relevant training on areas of experience
Experience:
Have at least 1 years of experience working within a purchasing department or 2 years within a Supply Chain role.
Have a basic understanding of Procurement code of conduct and knowledge around Global Procurement practices. Beneficial but not required
Experience using Microsoft packages
Strong Excel skills
Experience with Business systems Navision or SAP/Other ERP Systems
Experience or understanding technical drawings. Beneficial but not required
Report writing and analysing data/KPI's
Experience in virtual office systems such as Teams or Zoom/WhatsApp and other communication methods for remote working.
Comfortable working under pressure.
Qualifications/pre requisites:
GCSE Level C & above & /Or NVQ Level 3 & upwards &/Or CIPS
IT skills & knowledge of use of company software.
Full clean driving license.
