Job Description

Here at Vigor Doors Ltd we are looking for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our busy Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement and supply of materials to ensure the business operates efficiently, cost-effectively and with high quality standards.

The position of Procurement Coordinator requires someone who is commercially aware, cost-conscious, drives materials to meet production requirements and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The role will call for a team player who can collaborate with colleagues across departments and steer a results-driven team.

Responsibilities

Facilitate material take-offs for procurement and check requisition forms to enable Accounts to raise accurate purchase orders. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality materials are procured at the best possible price and lead time Ensure the daily expediting of materials into production, using Just-In-Time (JIT) ordering to maximise factory space efficiency Work closely with the Production Planner to keep procurement and production schedules aligned Update and maintain procurement and production plans using Excel to track all material requirements Liaise with the Warehouse Manager to monitor stock levels and manage call-offs to avoid overstocking Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, cost savings and supplier performance Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and relevant regulations

Key Skills

Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management, ideally within a manufacturing or construction related industry Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain processes and inventory management Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Pay: 30,000.00-34,000.00 per year
