Laser Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented

Procurement & Logistics Assistant Manager

to support our dynamic Procurement and Laser Logistics functions. You will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of materials, and continuously improving our logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Laser Logistics:

Logistics Utilisation

: Drive and promote the "Laser Logistics" service offering across site teams and contract managers.

Supervision

: Oversee the day-to-day operations of Laser Logistics, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of logistics services.

Kit Creation & Stock Control

: Manage kit creation from inception to delivery and ensure proper stock levels for all required materials.

Return & Recycle

: Implement and manage efficient return and recycling processes, optimising material reuse.

Scrap Management

: Oversee scrap material processes, ensuring proper disposal and tracking for cost allocation.

Procurement Support:

Administrative Support

: Assist the Procurement Manager with pricing, estimation, invoicing, rebate claims, and reporting.

Process Development

: Help develop and implement new systems and processes to streamline operations.

Material Returns

: Manage the material returns process, ensuring accurate tracking and credit resolution.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in logistics and procurement or a related field. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Ability to work within a warehouse environment, including picking, packing, and material handling. A valid driving license, as travel to and from the Laser Logistics facility is required. Adaptability, as the role will evolve with changes in business needs and systems.
