to join our operations team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective sourcing, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment that support our engineers working remotely across the UK.
This position is critical to maintaining operational continuity, minimizing downtime, and ensuring our teams have what they need to deliver exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase materials, consumables, tools, and services for field and office operations
Obtain competitive quotations, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate pricing and contract terms
Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures and authorisation limits
Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular inventory checks
Oversee stores management, ensuring safe, organized, and efficient storage
Coordinate logistics for the delivery and collection of equipment to and from remote sites
Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and product quality
Support fleet maintenance scheduling and coordination
Ensure compliance with company and audit standards for documentation and health & safety
Prepare regular reports on supplier spend, stock levels, and purchasing activity
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics (preferably in a service, construction, or engineering environment)
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Proficient in using inventory or ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)
Confident negotiator with strong communication and supplier management skills
Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience in water hygiene, facilities management, or engineering services
Knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices
FLT licence or experience managing a small stores facility
