We are looking for people to join our fantastic team at Somerset House Trust. As the home of cultural innovators, the Trust connects creativity and the arts with the broader society. We are currently recruiting for two new colleagues to join the Live Events team as Producers at a key period in Somerset House's development as we gear up to marking our 25th anniversary in 2025. We are looking for a blend of skills and strengths across these roles to ensure that we continue to realise our ambitions for the delivery of the Live Events programme, both operationally and artistically.

Working with the rest of the Live Events team, the Producer will be responsible for a wide range of duties culminating in the successful delivery of Somerset House's core public programme.

What we are looking for:





Work with the rest of the Live Events team to plan and successfully deliver the programme of live events at Somerset House, delivering a world class audience experience Ensure effective planning and communication with the Senior Producer on all projects undertaken by the Live Events team Contribute to the development of the artistic programme, working with artists and partners to shape events and respond to creative briefs in-line with Somerset House strategic objectives Manage and sustain effective, constructive and creative relationships with internal and external stakeholders as required (e.g. sponsors, artists, programmers etc) Work closely with Development colleagues to deliver sponsor rights and funder expectations operationally Deliver on all aspects of project advance, including project management, budget management, communications, visitor experience, ticketing set ups Work with the Production Managers and Senior Producer to ensure technical production is in place as required for the project Work with the Senior Producer to agree a budget and cashflow for projects, keeping accurate financial records and providing regular updates Deliver events on-the-ground, assuming Event Management responsibility on some event days, supporting the Senior Producer and Production Manager during build, break and delivery and briefing wider teams and freelancers Input into and provide updates on Event Management Plans and Risk Assessments Work with PR & Marketing teams to support communications for events, including checking website copy and reviewing press release documents Work with ticketing and box office teams on ticketing set ups and the online customer sales journey for events Work closely with Development colleagues to deliver sponsor rights and funder expectations operationally Manage relationships with Food & Beverage suppliers for pop-up food provision for specific events, in line with our Commercial Director's F&B strategy, ensuring hygiene, health and safety regulations are met and the best audience experience. Contribute to the development of future programme ideas, liaising directly with artists and programming partners Negotiate contracts and agreements with artists and suppliers Contribute to departmental record keeping, including evaluation documentation, reporting and conducting research and analysis as required Chair internal and external meetings for projects as required Any other responsibilities as required in line with the role Support delivery teams to ensure all events conform to Somerset House Access policies Promote diversity and inclusion by fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring equitable opportunities for all team members and stakeholders.

Skills, knowledge & expertise required for the role:





Experience

:Working as a lead producer on cultural events, activations and projects of scale Working on site specific or outdoor events and installations across multiple artforms Developing projects from concept to delivery Managing complex budgets including financial reconciliation Collaborating with production managers, technical production suppliers and internal departments such as Marketing, PR, Visitor Experience and Finance Managing external stakeholders, including sponsors and partners

Skills & knowledge

:Excellent communication skills, with ability to build positive and collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders and suppliers Strong project management skills, with understanding of the requirements of delivering large scale projects and events, including the advance and on-the-ground Strong working knowledge of Excel and database management and event management software Understanding of and ability to implement good practice Keen knowledge of arts & culture and wider arts landscape A commitment to Somerset House's mission, values and goals
