JOB TITLE: Product Analyst - Credit Cards
LOCATION(S): Manchester, Chester or Cardiff (Newport for temp basis)
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time at an office hub mentioned above.

The Consumer Credit Cards Team is a market leading provider of Credit Card products across the Lloyds, Halifax, BOS and MBNA brands. One in four Credit Card users chooses an LBG product, and we provide accessible, flexible and responsible lending. This role will sit within our newly-formed New Product Development team, which is responsible for shaping segment-led product strategy and E2E customer-centric products and propositions for credit cards, along with P&L accountability for said products.
About this role
Reporting to the Analytics Manager, this role focuses on delivering insight and analytics, to help the Credit Card product function understand customer needs, behaviours, product performance and deliver against financial plans, whilst playing a pivotal role in our innovation agenda. Working closely with the credit cards commercial and tech teams as well as across key functional teams including Affordability, Customer Propositions, Everyday Banking, Customer Insights, Credit Risk and CCO, you'll play a pivotal role in our innovation agenda.
Key accountabilities will include:Extracting and analysing data using SAS/SQL through SAS Enterprise Guide or Teradata. Turning your data into accurate, concise, and meaningful insights. Clear articulation of insights and recommendations with senior managers and key partners around the business. Developing MI suite for monitoring and reporting product performance, customer usage and outcomes, customer profiling and behaviours, product P&Ls and key performance indicators. Bringing to bear new and existing data sources to gather insights, identify gaps and recommend product and proposition enhancements.

What you'll need
Able to accurately translate selection criteria into code, for the purposes of data selection. Apply balanced thinking across commercial and customer needs. A self-starter, with experience in finding own solutions to new and emerging challenges. Collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate findings effectively.
Essential Skills and Experience:A strong numerical background. Hands on experience of utilising data mining software within a complex, commercial workplace environment. Proficient in SAS/ SQL. Competency in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Practical experience in using data to gather customer and product insights, and market trends. Previous experience working within data-led product strategy teams is preferable, especially in financial services (credit cards/ consumer lending desirable). Clear articulation of insights and recommendations with senior managers and key partners around the business. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and handle changing priorities. Experience of developing business cases which balance value and customer experience. Previous exposure to workplace situations which have required you to use your communication and influencing skills, to gain consensus and support for recommendations.
