Job Summary

ideal We are seeking a highly motivated Product Development Engineer to join our team working within the livestock handling sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturable products to a highly detailed standard. Duties

To be the sole engineer within the business responsible for design, QC and costings. Use SolidWorks to create production ready designs with detailed, consistent drawings. Use complex spreadsheets to accurately cost components and assemblies. Manage product and part libraries to ensure accuracy and efficiency of common component use. Design, prototype, and test components and products ready for mass manufacture. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure production requirements are met.

Qualifications

Proven experience in product development or related engineering fields. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes. Knowledge of mechanical components. Experience producing accurate part drawings, BOMs, managing part libraries. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Interest in livestock production/agriculture a benefit.

Pay: 17.00-22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 36 per week
