The role:

Be part of a new era for Rightmove, as our Experience Design (XD) team expands with our new business proposition in Commercial Real Estate.

As a Product Designer for Rightmove\xe2\x80\x99s commercial team, you\'ll be leading discovery, ideation, and execution for Rightmove\xe2\x80\x99s commercial product suite. This includes consumer experiences on Rightmove, as well as our customer experience on Rightmove Plus and Rightmove Hub.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll bring your expertise in product design and passion for Commercial Real Estate, to the table, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product owners and company leadership to design a cutting-edge B2B and B2C experience. Your deep understanding of design principles, user experience and product design will help guide and inform decision-making that drives innovation at all levels of the company. You\xe2\x80\x99ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Commercial Real Estate business at Rightmove.

Reporting to the Lead Product Designer for our customer domain, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be in an immediate design team of 4. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also form part of the growing XD Team of 20+ passionate, curious, and creative designers and researchers. Our multi-disciplinary team is made up of Product Design, UX Design, Service Design, UX Research, and UX Copywriting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead design for B2B and B2C product areas to improve the overall commercial experience for our users both internal and external. This includes playing a critical role in defining the future vision of the product space and delivering on incremental steps to help the team learn and iterate in this direction.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the broad set of users you\xe2\x80\x99re designing for, including Commercial Real Estate agents, our consumers and Rightmove Commercial Account Managers.
  • Collaborate with Lead Product Designer with the support of the Lead UX Designer, Service Designer, Lead UX Copywriter and User Researcher to develop a clear understanding of the product domain user knowledge: goals and expectations, tools, and context of use.
  • Work with the Product Owner to understand the impact of solutions on the wider domain, identify product risks and adoption levers and how to measure them.
  • Develop and share relevant user insights to help shape product initiatives and inform solutions in partnership with User Research, UX Design, Service Design, UX Copywriting and Lead Product Designers.
  • Foster an on-going collaboration, encouraging design thinking and the development of creative solutions with the product team through workshops and design reviews.
  • Collaborate with other Product Designers and Lead Product Designers to contribute to a modular, responsive and consistent design system across our platforms.
  • Ensure the actions you take have our customers and consumers needs at their core and support our business goals.
  • Pro-actively contribute to initiatives that aim to improve our customer or consumer experience, both identifying your own contribution and supporting others in theirs.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of design solutions that are in line with the wider product vision, design principles and the product team\xe2\x80\x99s roadmap.
  • Initiate and execute appropriate user testing and gather relevant insights to support everyday product decisions.
  • Ensure that design activities are planned, estimated appropriately, shared and understood.
