Job Overview

We are Screen Printers with a strong business in the manufacture and supply of bespoke labels, facias overlays membrane switches and touchscreens to international customers across a wide spectrum of sectors

Due to a pending retirement, we are seeking a broad-based Engineer with an electronics bias with a primary responsibility to develop customer designs through production feasibility into bespoke products.

There are further engineering responsibilities' within the role and great potential for the successful applicant to extend rapidly to a senior role within the business.

Duties

Manage directly all new membrane switch/touchscreen enquiries with existing or new potential customers Turn customer ideas (anything from a sketch to detail drawings) into feasible designs for production Provide guidance and advice to the customer on user interface designs Liaise with manufacturing, either on site UK or China partner to specify the product, obtain quotation and provide to the customer When customer orders are placed, if it's a China product, create, manage, schedule and control delivery through to the end customer Manage all company product testing to ensure quality Manage the maintenance of the company equipment calibration requirements Design and manage the manufacture of tooling Provide technical guidance and support on factory equipment maintenance Manage and resolve any customer returns
The Person

Qualified engineer with electronics knowledge Experienced in Autocad and Coreldraw. Great organisational skills Enthusiasm for building, developing and maintaining customer relationships to become their trusted expert. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly to customers ad suppliers at all levels. A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for a proactive professional eager to make a significant impact.

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
