Overview
As Product Development Manager (Computing) you will be responsible for development, review, maintenance and support for NCC Education's qualifications, assessments and teaching and learning programmes. Working as an integral part of the Product Development team, you will act as in-house and departmental Computing subject-specialist, as well as key contact for the range of external Computing subject matter experts that support NCC Education's qualifications.
Job purpose
To develop, maintain and deliver new and existing qualifications and programmes offered by NCC Education, in line with regulatory requirements. To lead on specific qualifications and programmes in Computing, ensuring the effective operation of assessment cycles to NCC Education and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and develop a portfolio of qualifications, assessments and learning programmes
Appoint, train and support contractors/developers
Commission assessment artefacts (assessments and marking schemes) and ensure sign off for use
Manage and give briefings on, or support as project user, trials and pilots
Develop Learning Outcomes, Assessment Criteria and Grade Descriptors
Develop new products in line with the market driven product development process
Provide data/statistics for product KPIs
Provide data/statistics for products for each cycle
Run qualification maintenance reviews as per schedule
Run Teaching and Learning materials maintenance reviews as per schedule
Assist with employer links to secure employers' input into developing qualifications and/or giving recognition to the qualifications
Represent the department as a business user on projects
Review and agree exemptions from other Awarding Organisations against NCC Education's products
Uphold and model high standards of performance and contribute to the development of a high performing team
Improve and maintain processes within both the Product Development department in line with Quality, Academics and Development
Develop relationships with others whose work is impacted by/requires a service from the role
You will be required to act as departmental lead on any number of the above, as directed by the Director of Quality, Training and Development.

candidate must be able to commute to office in Manchester Didsbury, 2 days a week.
