The role will be collaborating across the team to support the development and delivery of high quality, robust assessments, assessment products, and qualification materials for UK Coaching's regulated products, delivered under the Awarding Body brand 1st4sport. To support the achievement of its regulatory compliance, strategic objectives, and budgetary targets.

Responsible for



Product development:



Lead on the development and review of assessment products across 1st4sport services. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure they are fit for purpose. Coordinate the maintenance of the 1st4sport assessment products portfolio and development processes, including, business case development and scoping, quality assurance and compliance checks for new and existing products. Implement and operate a product development/review process, collaborating with the team to ensure compliance of developments and reviews to ensure regulatory standards. Facilitate the alignment, achievement and external recognition of 1st4sport products to appropriate professional standards and funding requirements. Review and action feedback and evidence from market changes into the standards setting monitoring and review for assessment products including using data and findings on external set assessment activity. Lead on the development, implementation and review of assessment strategies and supporting guidance in the delivery of assessment products including endorsements. Provide support in maintaining, reviewing and utilising risk management activities to support regulatory compliance and business continuity. Identifying recommendations or safeguards in product development to ensure a consistent and coherent delivery approach across centres and lead training providers to prevent potential malpractice or maladministration and ensure inclusion, fair access, and consistency. Manage the digital and activity question bank library for examinations, portfolios, and end point assessments, ensuring questions and banks are updated and maintained and are current.

Stakeholder engagement



Provide support and information to colleagues on operational areas relating to the development and management of 1st4sport regulated products. Liaise with key stakeholders including recognised centres, training providers and contractors on developments and queries. Participate and occasionally leading information/standardisation events with recognised centres, training providers, partners, and coaches.

Team management and performance



Undertake the recruitment, onboarding and contracting of external contractors as directed. Commission and contract external contractors to undertake assessment activities, including reviews of work undertaken, reporting and processing of payments. Maintain up to date and accurate records within the system of all contractors, activities and training.

Other



Undertake other duties as required to support the work of 1st4sport and UK Coaching Solutions. Follow, promote and implement UK Coaching policies for the equal treatment of all employees, applicants and customers.

Essential:



Proficient level of digital literacy including Microsoft packages. Experience of assessment product development Experience within a learning and/or assessment functions. The ability to learn quickly. Ability to successfully work individually, with autonomy, and as part of a team. Experience managing processes or projects. Understanding of education regulations Understanding and experience of educational funding Excellent written communication and proof-reading skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail Able to communicate directly with customers and partners. Solutions focused.

Desirable:



Experience working for an awarding body and/or training provider. Experience developing and managing examinations and assessments. Understanding of assessment design and development Enthusiastic about learning, coaching, education, and development Experience of audit and quality assurance
