The role supports continuous growth of the product portfolio by introducing new-to-market, new-to-world products categorised as tactical, local priorities or global to the UK and related markets.
The role collaborates with key internal teams and external partners to deliver the product development and product change agenda.
The role project manages the product development/change process from beginning to end delivering the final product available for distribution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Pipeline
Collaborates with Management, Marketing, Sales and Global Category and Global NPD, to align on the makeup of market's tactical, local priority and global product change/development/rollout pipeline.
Works with the Head of Marketing to present timely/routine reports on the progression of the market's tactical, local priority and global product change/development/rollout pipeline.
Works with the Head of Marketing to continuously engage the Management Team to align pipeline size according to the available resources for optimal project development/delivery.
2. Product Development/Change
Manages and executes product change/rollout/development projects as scheduled in the approved product pipeline.
Collaborates with internal and external partners such as research/sensory providers, suppliers/co-packers, research and development personnel, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Marketing and Finance on project deliverables.
Ensures technical &/or external regulators are consulted on regulatory matters.
Identifies and addresses potential risks to the achievement of project objectives.
Liaises with designers to complete development of label and packaging designs for new products, line extensions development or label change projects, ensuring that they meet brand guidelines, market and regulatory requirements.
Adheres to the set product change/rollout/development processes (execution stages and approval gates) during project execution and seeks to rectify discrepancies where necessary.
Ensures that key product development output generated in each project stage are completed, documented and readily accessible in the appointed system/tools.
Keeps abreast of industry developments and recommends ways to improve the product change/development process.
