Wall Colmonoy Ltd is a leading global materials engineering group of companies engaged in the manufacturing of Colmonoy surfacing and Nicrobraz brazing products, precision castings, coatings, and engineered components across aerospace, automotive, glass container, oil & gas, mining, energy and other industrial sectors.

Wall Colmonoy Ltd has been making metals work harder since 1938. We melt, coat, join, cast and engineer metals for enhancing the wear life and operating performance of engineered components within all engineering sectors.

This role is Product Integration Engineer, a role which is integral to the business, where the candidate will be expected to develop the role and be a key owner of the product development and delivery

The candidate will have a clear goal of driving safe, profitable growth for the business, through creative and innovative solutions to Product and Process design, following a flexible product introduction phase-gate process, whilst utilising 'Lean principles' to maximise both process effectiveness and efficiency. The candidate will have a 1st class customer focused mindset to represent our business on a world stage.

Degree educated, or equivalent, with the ability to work effectively within the commercial and operational environments with strong communication skills demonstrating the ability to adapt to audience, internal or external.

This role reports directly to the Technical Director:-

The key Product Integration Engineer's duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Technical / Product Engineering:

New Product Development Review customer documentation and manage Technical enquiries into Phase-gate process Possess business insights to rapidly shut down lines of non-profitable enquiry Translate requirements from requirement documents into structured phase-gate ordered information to build the business case Prepare the business case information and present to the required department heads and Senior Management Product Specification Creation Existing product change Technical problem solving & Quality investigation assistance

Customer Interface:

Technical Advisor Partner/relationship management Customer application technical support Adviser to demand and supply review meeting panel for new product manufacture Through process cost analysis new products and existing products upon request Contract Review on receipt of NPI orders

Production Engineering:

Production sequencing with respect to new and emerging products' trials and pre-production runs Capital Expenditure identification, scoping and application Manufacturing Standards & Specifications including raw material specifications if applicable to the product Active Promotion and adherence to all Quality standards

Hours of work - 38 hours

08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Thursday; 08.00 - 14.30 Friday

(30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

Salary dependent on experience.
