JOB TITLE: Product Manager - Asset Finance, Product
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time in our London office.

The Trade and Working Capital team provides commercial banking solutions to businesses of all sizes, in the UK and internationally, including trade, invoice finance and asset finance solutions. You'll be responsible for assisting with structuring, underwriting and managing Asset Finance products, while also ensuring alignment to core regulatory requirements and compliance policies and delivering great customer outcomes.
You'll work with a high energy team of product specialists, as well as key partners in other areas of the bank, to unlock growth whilst championing an environment of diversity and customer centric innovation, promoting new ways of working to deliver our broader purpose - Helping Britain Prosper.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:Responsible for assisting with the provision of governance and delivery of deal structuring, underwriting and management of Asset Finance facilities
Supporting the monitoring and ongoing management of portfolio risks, including regular collateral valuation and management, and definition and tracking of Key Performance Metrics
Supporting the Product Head in championing a culture of ongoing product innovation, in the creation and enhancement of Asset Finance products
Leaning in to help upskill a team of product specialists to deliver market leading Asset Finance products and solutions
Collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including across clients, coverage and risk to deliver superior outcomes for our customers, by also enhancing and simplifying the Asset Finance governance journey
Identifies shortcomings, suggests improvements and implements approved revisions to business practices, current compliance processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline. Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.
Analyses and evaluates the feasibility/relevance of proposed complex financial products, then develops and amends as necessary with guidance from senior colleagues and/or supervises activities performed by a financial product development/specialist team.

Develops and/or delivers a plan for significant aspects of the financial management and/or control process.
Writes and edits materials for a variety of target populations, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience.

What we need from you?Deep understanding of Asset Finance and managing of Asset Finance facilities, including some experience in structuring and an awareness of underwriting
Exposure to Product Development including creating and enhancing asset finance products and working with internal and external partners on emerging innovations is desirable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comprehensive knowledge of the different products, collateral types and deal structures; and an appreciation of Basel 3.1 and its impact on Asset Finance deals
Awareness of market trends, and the opportunities and threats that these present to customers and the bank, and supporting the Product Head in making the amendments required to the Group's risk management and Product frameworks
Experience in managing senior stakeholders, preferably in a large banking and financial services institution is desirable
