Product Manager
Job Description
We're looking for a collaborative and user-focused Product Manager to join the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC).
This key role will help shape the strategic direction of our scientific software products, with a particular focus on web-based tools used by researchers worldwide. You'll define product visions, guide development, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful scientific tools.
Working as part of our Product Management team, you'll play a central role in ensuring our products meet evolving user needs, support scientific discovery, and align with the CCDC's charitable mission.
What
you'll
be doing:
Defining and communicating product strategy, roadmaps, and priorities. Leading one or more product areas across the full lifecycle, from idea to delivery and improvement Collaborating with Product Owners, scientists, developers, and commercial teams. Engaging with users and stakeholders to gather feedback and inform decision-making. Monitoring product success metrics such as adoption and satisfaction.
Contributing to cross-product planning and a collaborative product culture.
What
we're
looking for:
Experience delivering digital products, ideally in a scientific setting A solid understanding of agile delivery and cross-functional teamwork The ability to define and communicate a clear product vision Experience with scientific or research software products and digital product design.
Understanding of the scientific and technical environment in which CCDC operates.
