Purpose:

The Product Manager, Institutions, has primary responsibility for developing and delivering a comprehensive and integrated set of products and commercial plans to drive success for the product(s) assigned to them. Their main responsibility will be to deliver long-term value by solving customer problems using an integrated development framework and developing products across courseware and assessment to support the needs of the Institutional segment. This position, working in conjunction with members of the team, and with a keen understanding of the competitive/market landscape and customers\' needs, develops and executes the strategic direction and vision for the products within his or her remit.

Accountabilities:

Develops and implements the strategy for the assigned portfolio to address the entire user journey addressing each end users\' needs and anticipating future needs.

Develops plans for all products with a digital-first simplified view of global solutions with an understanding of \xe2\x80\x9cproblems to be solved\xe2\x80\x9d.

Working with customer research and sales teams to understand and articulate customer needs and collate problems into jobs to be done. Keep an eye to emerging trends and new technologies integrating them into the product models as appropriate.

Define product direction to meet customer needs with an integrated view of the institutional consumer spanning learning, assessment, tutoring and other services.

Define overall product direction, using product lifecycle methodology and agile best practices aligning it with the overarching ELL strategy and portfolio level plans. Collaborate with technology, assessment COE, and content development teams to set clear requirements around capabilities and content required for the product.

Execute delivery plans within a timeline and budget. Ensure strong governance practices are in place for project to highlight success and manage risk to delivery. Responsible for communication of development progress to internal and external stakeholders.

Build business cases and collaborate on the creation of the commercialization plans working closely with finance, marketing, and others to develop the plans. Deeply understand customer behaviour and revenue/cost drivers as it relates to the overall profitability.

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and solution development to develop strategies and execute tactics to drive product adoption and success. Collaborate on development of campaigns to attract new customers and increase share of wallet through progressive pricing, trial and conversion tactics.

Monitor ongoing performance of products. Evaluate product performance and customer feedback and provide insight to product/content/platform development teams to refine future product releases and roadmap decisions. Help with prioritization of the development backlog.

Partner with the sales and support teams to drive fidelity of implementation, including product training, customer support and customer implementation resources.

Understand the competitive landscape for the institutional segment and emerging market trends

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent preferred

Extensive experience in product management

End-to-end digital project management experience

Demonstrated business product strategy expertise with a successful record of bringing new products to market

Success driving product adoption utilizing B2B and B2C strategies

Experience in education, learning, or assessment field preferred

Experience in agile product management methodologies

Skills/Attributes:

Strong ability to build relationships cross-departmentally to lead, engage and motivate a for top results

Build trust, positively influence others to achieve the expected results

Knowledge of digital learning design practices

Ability to deal with ambiguity while driving towards deadline

Sound business and technical acumen, with the ability to navigate a complex and highly matrixed organization effectively

Establish effective and positive communication lines to multiple stakeholders

Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, remaining pragmatic and results-focused

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
