Product Manager for our Web Platform

, responsible for evolving the capabilities that underpin our

web experience

. This role sits at the intersection of performance, tooling, developer experience, and experimentation--supporting teams in moving faster, safer, and with greater confidence.

In this role as the Product Manager for Travel at Trainline, you will...



Shape the future of our web platform

by setting the vision and roadmap for core capabilities--from frontend frameworks and build systems to shared components and release tooling. Champion a

user-centred mindset

, with a focus on both our external customers and our internal users--including developers, product managers, designers and data teams--who rely on the platform every day.

Work closely with Engineers

in a dedicated team to continuously improve how we build, test, and ship a best-in-class web experience.

Collaborate across functions

with UX, Data, Security, Architecture and other Product teams to ensure the platform supports the needs of teams across Trainline.

Support experimentation at scale

, experience with experimentation practices and tools--ranging from feature flagging and rollout strategies to qualitative testing and iterative learning approaches.

Advocate for developer needs

, ensuring the platform enables fast, intuitive, and consistent development workflows.

Set and track KPIs

for platform performance, accessibility, reliability, and adoption, identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.

Experience as a

Product Manager

, ideally within a

platform, web infrastructure, or developer tooling

team. Familiarity with modern

web technologies and capabilities

such as React, API orchestration and design system integration. Experience using

qualitative insights and platform metrics

to uncover user pain points and guide improvements that support both customer outcomes and internal team effectiveness. Understanding of (or experience with)

experimentation platforms

and feature flagging systems. Ability to

translate technical concepts

into clear, actionable product requirements that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Background working in

consumer, travel, marketplace, or eCommerce

environments at scale is a plus. Sound product judgment--you know how to prioritise, adapt, and

focus on high-value work
