Role Overview




As a Product Manager, you will ensure the success of Payara Enterprise through open source adoption and engaging enterprise customers, while tracking competitors and gathering customer feedback to address challenges and requirements.

Compensation : Rate dependent on local market location and experience




What you will be doing




Ensuring success of the Payara Enterprise product both in open source adoption and in Enterprise Customers Tracking Competitors and positioning against competitors Obtaining Customer Feedback to understand customer challenges and requirements analysis Building and communicating Product Vision Defining and communicating Product Roadmap Creating Feature definitions Tracking that implemented features meet definition Coordinating Feature Launch Deciding on Feature deprecation Lead tasking in multi-functional product team without an Engineering Manager Evangelise Product Management process in their team and across business Following and developing best practice in Product Management in Payara Closely collaborating with the Head of Product and other product teams to deliver roadmap Coordinating with ITOPs, Marketing, Sales and Service teams Supporting Product Marketing initiatives Work in International Working Groups with all stakeholders to drive wider technology adoption



What you will bring




3 years Java ecosystem knowledge and Product Management in developer or system operations market in SaaS or B2B 3 years Task assignment and management of a team - at least some experience following Agile Scrum People Manager experience, including performance KPIs Experience with direct External Customer Contact Knowledge of Server Side Java ecosystem and experience in Open Source



Desirable Skills & Knowledge




Ideally you will have worked for a larger organisation than Payara and will be able to transfer your knowledge and expertise to a scale up environment Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies Delivered a SaaS and/or B2B product Strategic thinking abilities and presentation skills Product Management and Product Development Lifecycle Project management, data analysis and market research skills Understanding of business models and pricing.

Analytical and big picture thinking Strong communicator and able to present confidently to customers, engineering communities and speak at conferences Strong leader who can drive and communicate product vision across many functions and audiences Organised and good time management

Any relevant qualifications or certifications in product management
