Product Marketing Manager

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Outpost24 is currently seeking a Product Marketing Manager based in Europe or North America (Eastern Time Zone) to add to our excellent product marketing team!

About Outpost24

Outpost24 is a leading cybersecurity vendor in Europe that helps CISOs, and security teams identify what threats matter most.

Founded in 2001, we are headquartered in Sweden and the US, with additional offices in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, France, and Spain.

About the Product Marketing team

Our task is to sit between Product and Marketing and Product and Sales and Product and The Market to own the messaging and positioning of our products and design GTM plans that support our target and company strategy.

What we are looking for

You are a great storyteller who relies on customer research to build your market hypotheses. You are expertly skilled at building rapport quickly - whether that's with another department colleague or a customer you've never spoken with before during a case study interview. You take initiative. Your brain lights up from spinning out new ideas for marketing campaigns or new conversation paths for Sales. You are the driver behind your best ideas - bringing every party across departments you need together to make it come to life. Tackling a big project your organization has never done before excites you and you know you can make it happen because you've tackled the unknown before. You are OK with failing. You know failure is a part of product and marketing hypotheses, but you also know how to define failure because defining success with metrics ahead of any GTM move is built into your DNA. You don't stop at failure - you let it propel you forward into your contingency plan or next idea. Technical subjects do not intimidate you. You are an expert at breaking down things you don't understand into defined pieces and identifying who or what can help you grasp the concept well enough to explain it in simple terms to non-technical colleagues. Presentations are a regular part of how you communicate. Whether you are presenting the latest findings from some customer research or training colleagues on messaging, you are incredibly comfortable with the medium and consistently get great feedback. You are an excellent writer. You proactively reject the use of jargon and instead seek out the language of your target's voice - whether that's an internal stakeholder or an external customer.

What you'll do

Lead GTM for your product category, collaborating with product and marketing teams to ensure customer messages are clearly articulated. Educate customer facing teams (direct sales, channel partners, customer success and support teams) about the customer's perception of value and how our solutions deliver it. Compare substitute solutions or competitive approaches to solving the same problems that we do, clearly identifying differences. Stay on top of market and customer trends to better inform positioning, messaging, and new campaigns. Create compelling content for a variety of communication channels (digital, video, group presentation, or one-on-one interaction) that map into critical customer interactions.

What you have

5+ years' experience in product marketing, ideally in a technical or security B2B space as well as experience with both product-led and sales-led GTM motions Deep understanding of the IT and cybersecurity industries as well as the sysadmin and CISO personas Strong organizational skills, self-starting can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to new and unusual situations and changing conditions and priorities. Outstanding communication skills, including writing, interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and an eye for good design Strong operational knowledge of B2B marketing and communication across multiple channels Experience leading a strategic product marketing initiative - whether that was a customer advocacy program, a new cross-sell strategy or something else Hands-on experience participating in an analyst relations program, including preparation for briefings and follow-up communications is a plus
