The role:




As Product Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for defining and communicating Corndel's value and differentiation in the market, evangelizing internally and externally. Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, this is a highly cross-functional role, collaborating with product, marketing, sales, strategy and enablement colleagues to create and implement targeted go-to-market strategies designed to increase market share, retention and real value for our clients and learners.


We believe great product marketing, goes beyond the basics of segmenting customers, positioning products, creating collateral, and supporting sales teams. It achieves much more by directing the best way to bring a product to market, shaping what the world thinks about the product and its category, and inspiring others to tell the product's story.

Key Responsibilities



Strategy and Positioning



Develop an in-depth knowledge of our programmes, client and learner needs and market/competitor landscape. Develop and implement go-to-market, cross sell and upsell strategies, plans and tactics for programme and academy launches, seeking continuous improvements. Create and socialise compelling and impactful product positioning and messaging frameworks to convey product value propositions effectively to different customer segments and differentiate our programmes from competitors. Build, execute and maintain quarterly product marketing plans which support business goals.

Market Research & Intelligence



Identify market, customer and competitor research opportunities and collaborate with research colleagues to implement research and insights activity so that insights can be incorporated into messaging, address buyer objections, and refine positioning or go-to-market strategy. Actively seek and draw upon existing insights and intelligence and disseminate through product messaging to differentiate and support sales conversations.

Product Assets & Materials



Develop messaging frameworks and provide directional guidance to the appropriate marketing managers to ensure all product content is highly impactful. Collaborate as needed to ensure Sales have the tools to sell at the appropriate time: for example, training materials and presentations, collateral, product guides, web content, impact stories, launch decks, insight session decks, playbooks and battlecards. Draw on market, product and customer insights and messaging ownership to feed into the creation of materials designed to drive pipeline and retention (such as white papers, thought leadership, case studies) Be the Product Marketing lead for our Sales Enablement platform (Sesimic) Oversee the strategy for the monitoring and accurate, timely updates of product collateral, preventing duplications or content becoming outdated. Employ insights from Seismic to track asset usage and engagement, and elicit input from sales, product and operational colleagues to identify potential gaps for new requirements.

Buyer Persona & Journey Mapping



Oversee the evolution of buyer personas, collaborating with Research colleagues to plan activity that draws out buyer pain points, motivations, and decision-making criteria. With B2B and B2C Marketing teams, use buyer journeys to align product features and messaging at each stage of the customer lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration



Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Enablement and Strategy colleagues to develop, drive and improve the GTM strategy, positioning and messaging for new and existing products. Confidently collaborate in multi-functional meetings, sharing and gathering information, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders. Present sales and marketing briefings, and participate in internal and external events, taking an active role in sessions as required.

Performance Tracking & Optimisation



Implement the tracking of relevant metrics and KPIs to report on the success of product marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to make recommendations to continuously drive and optimise strategies and tactics. Obtain and synthesise ongoing feedback from GTM colleagues on positioning, messaging and tools to drive improvements. Ensure ongoing product marketing activity complements wider marketing and company objectives and strategy.

Experience and Skills:




Essential:

3-5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in B2B, with a

proven track record of executing in high-growth and fast-paced environments.

You have proven experience in product positioning, developing value propositions and messaging frameworks, and competitor landscape mapping. You are proficient in creating product-focused content, such as internal guides, talk tracks, and product webpageguidance. You are a completer-finisher, understanding strategy and executing it brilliantly and with passion. You are business savvy and know how to get things done. You are a team player, ready to be agile and collaborate effectively and considerately. You are creative and innovative. You show up to do brave work and model behaviours that encourage others to do the same. You are a product marketing specialist. Keen to evangelise about product marketing and create alignment between Marketing, Product, and Sales teams. You are ferociously curious. Your active listening skills are exceptional, and you ask great questions. You demonstrate exceptional copywriting, communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to engage and work with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. You thrive in ambiguity. You embody a growth mindset and are agile in your approaches, pivoting as needed.

Desirable:

Experience marketing to enterprise level prospects and customers. Experience of building and honing buyer personas.
